Assisting Kids With Sports and Academics

Greater Goulds Optimist Club is a 501(c)(4) organization recognized under the Internal Revenue Service guidelines. Our mission is to provide affordable educational, cultural, and recreational programs to economically disadvantaged families in Goulds, FL and the surrounding areas. We offer sports development and homework assistance programs and organize various projects for the young members of our community. Read on to learn more about who we are and what we do.

Provider of Youth Development Programs

Established in June of 1993, Greater Goulds Optimist Club offers year-round after-school programs for children ages 4 to 18. These include homework assistance, reading, physical fitness, computer literacy training, community service projects/events, and social skills development. We also organize summer day camps in partnership with the Miami-Dade County Parks and Recreation and Open Spaces/Goulds Park, wherein we offer sports development programs covering baseball, t-ball, basketball, and football as well as dance and cheer.
